Hello everyone, I'm new to this group and i'm glad to have found it!

Here are my two books that focus on a year of writing, photography & photomanipulations with a dark theme.

The first one have some of my poetry and works as a tribute to my beloved other half, the second one focuses on my personal works.

Beast & Babalon, Love songs from hell a pictorial journey

Love is not for the weak of heart, nor is it the sole domain of the pure. Love can burn through hellworlds to touch even demons, and the brightest blood of longing comes not without pain. Herein lies a journey through the darkness of the heart, a meeting of two incomplete souls who found each other in the hazy labyrinth of a virtual underworld.
You are invited to glimpse the resurrection of the dead in the name of love, to celebrate life through the imagery of death, and to know the pinnacle of joy through the domestication of suffering. Embrace the truth of our dual nature, turn not away from the darkness but enter it without fear, head held high, eyes open, prejudice banished, and you will witness the images of hell turn to Eden again.

There is no place that love is Not.

To Mega Therion, the dark art of Ricardo Olvera

2008 - 2009 selected works.

Any feedback is welcome.

- Ricardo Olvera.

Hi, I just published a book about Zeebruges (Belgium)
Title is 'ZEEBRUGGE KUST DE KUST', a compilation of pictures from beach cabins and maritime views, poems and stories.
It's a nice squared book but texts are in dutch. I'm intending to publish an english version with a little bit of the history of the beach huts in Belgium soon.

Kind regards

What makes jewellery priceless? Is it the material? The memory? The emotion? This jewellery collection shows, that cheap, all-day materials can make very priceless, sophisticated jewellery.

This book contains 32 colour photographs. In this photos you'll see a stunning jewellery collection, made by Malou Paul. She has made these pieces for her graduation in Art School.

Here is my first book:

Digital Photographic and Illustrative Art.
Hello !

This my first book too. It is called "ATHENS OUT" and you can see it here :

The project for this gallery started when I read an interview that the famous French photographer Raymond Depardon gave to "Reponses Photo" magazine.

When R.Depardon was in New York in the early '80s with his girlfriend he wandered and photographed
the streets of the city. Because at the time he was too shy to photograph directly the people, as he was walking on the street he he held his camera at the height of his chest and triggered the shutter.

He used a Leica M6 with the 21mm f3.5 lens loaded with Kodak TRI-X pushed to 800 ASA in order to achieve a shutter speed at least 1/500 sec to freeze the human movement.

As he said in the interview,he processed the films, made the contact prints and ... locked them all in his archive's drawers because he never believed that there would be any good images in them, until 28 years later when Steidl editions decided to publish this project, called Manhattan Out.

I felt really inspired from this idea and decided to do the same in my city here in Athens.

Ok well here's my effort, should have really done this some time ago but as always something else crops up etc etc. But really great fun putting it together, ive yet to see the printed copy and looking forward to it dropping through the door. There seems to be a fair bit of debate on the Blurb site re quality issues so i will reserve my judgement for now.

The book runs to 50 pages, the images were taken whilst working alongside the Red Cross in Niger, West Africa in 2005/2006 documenting food insecurity issues within the country. Although not
directly related these images were taken during some of my downtime so to speak.

My book just arrived last night!!! I was soooo happy and surprised! I was reading a lot of negative comments about the print quailty but I absolutely LOVE it!! I selected the image wrap hard cover and premium paper looks great!! Has anyone opted out of premium paper and will let me know how it looks? I am thinking about publishing a book with 100+ pages and the premium paper isn't an option. Would you please message me? Thanks!

Heres a link to my book! I can't wait to publish another one!! I am just in love with blurb!!

It took me a while to put my book of poetry on living with depression together but the result is worth it I hope - it explores life in a bubble and it's hard to get out and your mind goes crazy.
My book is interspersed with macro photographs, mainly of flowers, taken as I am beginning to recover.

Any comments here or on the blurb website would be appreciated as it's my first book:

I hope if it can help just ONE person not to feel like they are the ONLY one trapped in their mind then that will be okay.

photobook 'Incognito' : to controversial???

In 2001, I was fascinated by the events in Genoa. The fierce street battles, the mysterious Black Block and the tragic dead of Carlo G. The image of a masked girl coming out of a cloud of teargas, protecting her small camera for the charching police.

So I went with an old camera and no photo experience to the next demo, and the next, and the next...Before I knew it, I was spending all my cash travelling around Europe. Hooked on a special mix of fear and adrenaline. Never satisfied about my pictures.Running, stumbling for that one great shot, which goes beyond the myths and controversy.

Protecting my small camera for the charching police...

This is my 3rd published book, but my 1st self published effort, however this is clearly my favourite book yet. I've been visiting this little island in Australia on regular magazine surf trips since 1992 and the folks kept asking me to do a book, so after 14 trips there, I finally did. This is the result. 120 pages of a surfer's perspective of the place. It's a beautiful little island, just south of Melbourne, Australia. You can even take a tour of the full book here:
