I noticed a lot of people were including Laughing Cow cheese wedges in their lunches, and being a fan of cheese, I picked up a pack of the garlic and herb flavor. I brought one in my lunch yesterday, expecting a little cheese I could bite into like the round Babybel cheeses, and instead found that it was a soft, spreadable cheese.

So my question is, do those of you who pack these wedges spread them on something? Or do you just eat them plain? My friends laughed at me when I said I might just eat it plain, and wanted me to go into the cafeteria and get a couple packs of saltine crackers to spread it on. So I was just curious how you eat your cheese wedges...

Sometimes I use them as kind of a dip for my veggies, sometimes I pack a few water crackers and spread the cheese on, sometimes I just eat it plain. :)

laughing cow, cute French cheese, is part of the cultural inheritance. originally for kids, because it's melted low-taste cheese.
Never without bread!!!

My husband and son always eat it spread on bread. If I bring it in my lunch, I pack some crackers (easier to fit into bento than a big hunk of french bread).

Always spread the cheese. Always spread the cheese. Five minutes to Wapner.

I almost always spread it on something. I often use it on a sandwich instead of some traditional condiment like mayo. When I buy the teeny little cubes (which I think only come in Swiss) I will eat those plain.

Thanks to Kate, the phrase "always spread the cheese" will be stuck in my head all day.

great topic as I happened upon a three pack of LC wheels for barely a couple dollars! (yay for Grocery Outlet!)

I always spread it on crackers when I eat it.. though I haven't packed it with my bento so far. And yes, I agreed with Harriet that Kate's "always spread the cheese" will surely be ringing in my ears for the day.. and perhaps the one to come.. *lol*

I like just nibbling it plain. It's firm enough that it doesn't have to be spread on something.

I nibble it plain - especially the light herb one. 35 yummy cheesy calories. I should pick some up tonight :D

I like to spread Laughing Cow cheese on celery sticks. It's a great low carb alternative to crackers or bread.

I love to spread this cheese on bread and slice really thin cucumbers add a lil' salt and pepper and taaa daa cucumber sandwiches...It's also a cute idea to use a cookie cutter to make the sandwiches in shapes...This is delicious with hot tea preferrably green tea.

I spread it on water crackers. I'd totally forgotten about the existence of water crackers until my mother came to visit a few weeks ago and bought some. I had left over crackers (I'm not a big fan of bread so I don't usually have any at home), bought laughing cow, and they go great together.

The funny thing is that I used to hate laughing cow wedges as a kid. Now I realize that it is because we were given the cheese by itself, with no bread or anything to eat it with, and it was just to pasty by itself for my taste.

I like it on crackers, (water crackers) but I bet it would be good on a nice whole grain baguette (yum).
