Googled, found this group! Didn't play with my $10 Vivitar much when bought it at Walgreen's a few years ago. Wanted to try it again.

I don't have photography tech knowledge so is it ok to be a part of your group if my only contribution will be my Vivitar (and clones) pics?

I am just pleased when anything halfway decent comes out of the 20 shots.

Thanks.

Yes, pictures from the Vivitar Mini Digital camera are more than welcome in this group.

Great. Have always admired good photographs but didn't want anyone to go nuts here if I say what a great macro shot I took from 36" inches away. :)

Regarding tech...I can talk ad nauseum about my efforts to get 2 Linux machines, Fedora & Ubuntu, plus my primary Win Vista 64bit to recognize this little camera. Suffice it to say that all's well, sort of, on my Win laptop.

I vote "yes" to contest. Thanks.

Welcome to have you aboard, ThruThe Slats! Sometimes I'm happy if I get one good shot out of five batches of 20 pictures! But it doesn't matter. If you get something you like, post it. That's the fun of this group - anything goes. (As long as it was taken with a Vivitar Mini Digital.)

Thanks for your Welcome(s). Now it's official. My 1st upload on Flickr is my avatar (just taken with my Mini). It's raining out, I'm stuck indoors, so took shot of window blinds. Since it is dark and rainy...surprised any light leaked through "slats".
