How can I delete photos from my Photostream that I no longer want?

Click on the first of the icons bottom right of the photo on its photopage.
Delete will be one of the options that appear.
If you have many (private) photos that you want to delete, you can do so in Organizer.

Go to the Camera Roll, select the photos you want to delete and click the red Delete icon. That can be done with many photos in one time, selecting works as with your OS: for a batch click the first and shift-click the last, all in between are selected too. Or use ctrl-click (cmd-click on a Mac) to select multiple photos.
