I agree with the above. Views are very muted and my analysis of this last evening (by looking at my partner's feed) was that my pictures did not go into the feed. In this event only hardened followers or incidental viewers come across the pictures.

This thread will undoubtedly give rise to the usual narky comments about those of us who like views but then they are the visible evidence that our efforts - especially or groups - are worthwhile.

Yep same thing too. Also notice that many who I flow that post daily are not appearing in my feed...but I have loads of these 'recommended' items in my feed. A connection perhaps? I have noticed this as well. There seems to be a lot of inconsistencies with the Flickr website as a whole. I thought the move to AWS would lessen the issues the site has had in the past but it seems to be a massive drop off in view counts and a whole host of issues popping up.

it is something absurd! the same happens to me! from a few days my views and my likes have drastically halved and for no valid reason! we are PRO like all the other members! I don't understand why flickr "prefers" some photos rather than others ... it seems to me that like the others, I also pay my PRO membership ... Flickr must find a solution immediately, otherwise I think you will find several accounts that will switch to free account!

katie_ko:

The issue appears to be that the photos do neither show in the feed nor on the people page of followers, therefore the view count is low.

Such issues appear from time to time and have been reported multiple times here in the help forum - but so far all such reports were ignored by staff in all related threads.

When I encounter such an erratic behaviour of flickr (views too small after lets say one hour) I just delete this upload an re-upload it. That usually helped.

Hi Katie! I know Flickr will fix the issue and I was hesitant to reply, but I want to make sure the issue many people are seeing is the same issue you addressed. I do not see an issue with views being tallied. They seem to be tallied correctly. The views are low because it appears users we follow are not showing up in our Activity Feed. This may be the issue you already addressed, but I wanted to clarify in the event you have addressed a different issue.

I had the same issue on 1st July. Usually getting way over 100 likes but it didn't reach the 50 mark the following day. I'm now at 70 which is still significantly lower. There are a few others that haven't reached usual stats but not that low.

I wasn't sure if it was a glitch in flickr or a me issue so never bought it up. Thank you for creating this thread. ❤

Not sure if related / same issue, but annoying:

My latest upload does quite obviously show in my followers' feeds (gets faves), but the view count remains at 0 (zero) in the past two hours.

The view count for all other photos appears to be stuck as well for the same time frame.

There was a pretty similar issue a couple months ago when the views came back after a couple of hours.

Just wanted to take the opportunity to provide some additional context around the issue affecting views that was reported here.

As many of you noticed, the low view counts you were seeing were a result of new uploads not being surfaced in the Activity Feed as intended.

This underlying issue has since been resolved & from the reports we’ve received both here and through our help desk-- view counts on new uploads are back in the normal range.

As always, we appreciate the reports & thank you for your patience as we got things resolved!
