[Acknowledged by Flickr Staff] Possible glitch - An image of a banned member appears in the waiting queue.

Juan (LANSA301) says:

Hi,
Since yesterday a NSFW image continue appearing on the moderation queue of a group I manage.
Since first time I have banned the user that sent the NSFW image. But the NSFW image have appeared at least five more times after the ban... For sure, it is a glitch.
Every time, I have checked ad the member is in the banned list.
Of course, I am not going to make public the screenshots or mention the user name.
Thanks for your help.

Glitch continue. Four more times same NSFW image appeared since my original post. Member is still banned...

If this is the FlickrFriday group, it could be that old code that automatically added to the group anything with the tag of the week, whether the photographer intended to add it or not. Sometimes that used to work without the FlickrFriday tag being there, or even if the word was just in the description of the image.
Did you check if the image has the tag of the week?

Viejito:

It is FlickrFriyday. But the NSFW image doesn't have the group's tags.
Also, the particular situation is that the member is actually banned but the image continues appearing in the waiting queue.

But is the word in the description? Sometimes hard to tell (without doing a page search) if the description is long.

the member is actually banned
That old code might bypass the checking for bans. It was rather buggy.

Update.
Due to the image have appeared three more times, I had removed the ban over the member and ban the user again.

Not a single reference to FlickrFriday
But, as I mentioned, it sometimes works if the text just has the word of the week, without even having the word FlickrFriday.

Just a wild guess, if the image is of a woman lying face down on a couch, it does have the word Suddenly in the text, which is your tag of the week.

That code, which adds photos to groups based on tags, should be removed. It causes nothing but problems.

That is not the image we are talking.
Thanks for your reply.

OK, that was just a wild guess, as I said... Maybe she was lying on the bed...😄

The actual question was, though, if the word Suddenly is in the description. This is a word highly likely to appear in long tales of conquest under NSFW photos.

I will not bother you any longer, but that code should be removed.

Viejito:

No, "Suddenly" is not anywhere in the image.
Until now, this one is the only NSFW image submitted.
Agree, code need to be updated.
I wonder if any other officially related group have similar issues.

BTW, the mentioned image is not properly moderated... appears as "Safe", but is not.

Some of the new ones may be leftovers from your former theme “Chained To The Sky”, but it does not really matter.

I do not know if any other groups had this feature of automatically adding photos with certain tags to a group, but the code that does this needs to be removed.
It has caused nothing but trouble.

Because of staff turnover, though, the current staff may not even be aware that the code exists, nor where to find it...

I just checked and the "flickrfriday" hashtag is still associated with the group to automatically add photos.

Juan, would you guys like me to remove that feature?
