E-mail notifications - not receiving!

E.Mail notification are not being rec'd by all posters on my stream.
(BT Mail).
I am only receiving a fraction of notifications once again......Have had this recurring problem in the past, and now once again...
Any one else affected?

There used to be a little red dot which appeared on our avatar to notify us when we got F mail.

That's just another really useful thing which disappeared never to be seen again.

It can't be hard to reinstate it ..... can it?
