[Monitoring fix] Group Pool Posting Limit not working

emrold says:

I manage a group where we limit members' posts to 100 images total (ever). It has come to my attention that there are two members who have posted 101 and 108 images to the group pool.

I have personally experienced daily posting limits to groups when posting my own images, so I know the underlying code seems to work... why are the all-time posting limits apparently not working?

Thanks for your help!

If you are getting the number from the "Contributors List", it means that they have removed photos and replaced them with others. 100 photos ever does not mean 100 photos ever, it means 100 photos in the pool at one time. If you click on the name in the Contributors list, can you confirm that they currently have more than 100 photos in the pool?

I have identified and visited the group. I can see that each of those members has exactly 100 (public) photos in the group pool.

Thanks for looking into this! It's a shame that the counter on the group pool contributors list isn't accurate.

It is, yes. But FWIW it has been that way for Flickr's entire life AFAIK.

Thanks everyone for flagging this. After looking into this further, we did find that there is a bug. The counter for the group photo pool only adds and does not subtract.

The posting limit is intended for photos a member posts at one time, not the amount of photos they have posted ever as they can delete photos and upload new photos.

A report has been created and we will post updates in this thread.

It looks like we were able to push a fix for the group pool counter. I will review this thread for more reports.

Are you saying you fixed this for all groups? Yes the OP's group pool shows all members now under 100 images in the group pool. The World Photo Day and the Your Best Shot group pool contributors lists still reflect total submissions, not current submissions. I tried the "reset filter" (never did and still don't know what that is suppose to do). I tried a hard page reload, nothing changed.

It's not clear from your reply: Is this something that has to be fixed group-by-group-by-group? Or is it simply that the intended global fix didn't work for some reason?
