Hiding selected photos from contacts

Jackie & Dennis says:

One of my contacts has posted photos I would rather not see in my feed of contacts photos.

Is there anyway of hiding these particular photos so I don't see them again?

I don't want to remove the person as a contact.

Thanks

Jackie

There is no way to do this. You should add the idea to the wishlist thread:

If they're rude pictures, you can set your safe level for viewing, assuming your contact has done the same for the photos. It would apply to viewing everyone's photos, though.

We are set to "safe", I doubt our contact considers them to be "too much" but not our cup of tea, so to speak.

Jackie & Dennis:

If your contact's photos actually should be flagged as moderate or restricted by Flickr's rules (doesn't matter what the contact's opinions on that are), then:

1) You could send them a note warning them that they have a safety flag violation (and so they are at risk of Flickr sanctioning their account)

2) You are certainly within your rights as a citizen of Flickr to report the mis-flagged photo via the "Report abuse" link at the bottom of the photo page

Of course, none of this helps if the actual problem with these photos (for you) doesn't have anything to do with safety flagging. For example, I don't really want to see photos of kingfishers on Flickr any more, but they're pretty much never a safety-flag violation.
