Annie feels like a friend to me, like a dear friend I know in real life... I mean, non-flickr life. I have felt a connection since the first exchange of comments! I love that! She is genuine and open, and honest and candid... she expresses compassion when I need it, and always GETS it... I mean, gets what I am trying to say. And comments without being bashful. I find myself quite pleased to see she's found one of my photos and commented on it. Her comments feel very non-obligatory... which is great to have on flickr as most of us run around posting and commenting and faving and fishing.... forgeting to connect. I would put her way up there in flickr contacts that blow me away artistically. This is because she has gone out there with here expression, taking the camera and redefining what we all think it is for. She sees things that are but glimpses the rest of us either miss or dismiss.. ackowledges them as relevant to her life, and then she makes them part of our experience. As she explores, we become enriched. It is the things we often ignore that are screaming to us the most... they reflect some part of us we have yet to discover. As I commented on a recent photo I put in a gallery, "Annie, or 2 & 2/3 sends me on a mind trip with every image. What is it? Why do I love it? Why does it disturb me? I try to make it be something, and then I realize it is ok to let it just be IT! To see the unknown, walk unknown paths. Let the tendency to organize and file and sort... fly away." In her words, "for people who have no need for validation from the outside world, for people who can laugh gently and with pleasure at themselves! Bravo!!!!" Bravo, to You Annie!!! I'm glad I met you!!! Keep up the good work!

What can I say of Annie, of her great talent, her vision, her tanacity in the face of tragedy? What can I say of Annie, of her great talent, her vision, her tanacity in the face of tragedy? From the first moment I saw her work, I knew she was someone I needed to know, or know more "of" out here in the virtual world! Her creative force is inspiration for me, as I know it is for many other people. Her spontaneity is incredible, which means you can never predict where she will take you next in her photostream! Maybe a vivid abstract, maybe flowers, maybe a portrait, maybe something strange in black and white- ALL of it lovely and incredible! Annie and I have both faced tragedies this year; something we've shared, and we both draw on our creativity, our photography and words, sense of color, shape, texture- to allow us to express our emotions, both good and bad, sad and happy. In my expression, I feel that I am hardly speaking at all while to me, Annie's voice rings loud and clear and eloquent! I thank Annie for teaching me to see, to LOOK, to speak through my work here. I look forward to her postings and sharings EVERY day! She is an exceptional photographer and artist! ~Kim~
