New to photography in the past couple of years, really enjoying the hobby! A constant learning process that keeps me interested.

Okay, that was several years ago. I think it's about time I updated this. I am now hopelessly addicted to both Photography and Flickr. I have always enjoyed the outdoors, but photography has helped me see things in nature I probably would otherwise have missed. That's the wonderful thing about photography in general; it changes the way you look at just about everything. I read something someone wrote that said, "It helps me to see the world, not just look at it." Very well put.

As far as the Flickr community goes, you guys ROCK! There is so much talent here! I just can't log on without seeing something amazing that one of you out there has posted. I am privileged to know each one of you, and consider you my friends.

Sincerest thanks to everyone who takes the time to stop by and leave a comment on one of my images. Every one of them is appreciated more than I can say.

Now let's get out there and do some more shooting!

For nearly four years I have had the good fortune of being able to follow Mark and his growth with photography. The state of Illinois is far away from my area and vastly different as well. I have never had the opportunity to see frozen great lakes and wide open prairies, but through Mark's camera I have. His thoughtful photography is a labor of love and I am so grateful for his continued work. On top of this, Mark has been such a fine gentleman with his kind comments for everyone, including me. Flickr is a good community, made that much better with quality people like Mark as a part of it!

I've enjoyed Mark's photos for quite awhile, and particularly his choice of subjects. I especially like his perspective and take on scenes, as he adds something unique in the way he "sees" what might be otherwise overlooked or taken for granted by someone else. Keep going, Mark, I'm enjoying your photos and subjects… Read more
