There was a time when I never thought I would pick up a camera and share my pictures. I never thought I would meet, and make such wonderful friends from around the world, as well as just down the road. The Flickr community has allowed all this to happen and I am forever grateful to each and every one of you. Having a conversation or leaving a comment with me is just wonderful. You have helped support and encourage me and you have offered a friendship to our son who otherwise would find interacting with people so difficult.

Initially I had struggled to develop a style of photography and it has evolved into more of a visual diary of our story and journey. That journey involves supporting and caring for our son who has multiple and complex disabilities. We use the pictures to help him recall memories of adventures that will also help as we plan each day for him. He picks up a camera with me and I will post a series of 'Marc's Window' which captures images that he has taken himself. He is a wheelchair user and can only use one arm and hand so a tri-pod is a key feature for him. I will post straight out of the camera for him and all I will do is to crop some obvious things out and add a frame for him. Everything else is his own work. And work I am so proud of.

I like to include a backstory with many pictures and if you choose to read them, I thank you. If not, I also thank you for just looking at the picture. You will understand that at times, our caring for our son will limit the amount of time I can spend here, but I will whenever possible acknowledge all your comments and I will always look at your own 'streams and leave you a comment. Please forgive me if I do not look at every picture you post, but I will do what I can.

As a result of our sons serious condition, my wife and I have taken early retirement and in trying to ease his pains and calm his terrors, I have developed a garden to help in his care, and ours. Many of my images will be from our garden and the flowers we grow.

Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoy what we post here if you follow us.

Thank you.

Paul

Something nice to say about Paul? A lot! He's the most positive, warm and including person I've met here. Not only do I see him as a good friend now, he also lifts my days, makes me smile here where I sit, and I feel straight through the screen that Paul would never ever let you down in any way. I'm so proud he's my friend, that he follows me and allows me to be a person he seems to like. Isn't it so, Paul? You're an excellent family man, goodhearted and warm. If you want a friend, not just any follower, let Paul know, and he'll be there for you. Thank you, Paul!:-)

Paul is such a fabulous fellow! He always comments on my photos. He is such a dear heart in the way he cares for Marc and he always finds time to care for his fur babies. Thanks Paul for being out there! :)

My greatest pleasure in belonging to Flickr has been, besides seeing some great photography, in making such great friendships. It is my pleasure, then, to write a few lines about one of the most steadfast of friends, Paul Fraser. I think of Paul as someone that I could drop in on any day and we would have instantly so much to talk about we might not get it all said. Paul is truly someone you feel you have known all of your life. His kindness and concern for his friends just leaps out of his comments. His great patience and compassion is so very evident in his inter reactions with his dear family and friends. Thank you, Paul, for your words of wisdom, your comments on our photos and your gentle philosophy on life in general. So glad to know you, my friend. Lana Pahl, Country Star.
