I am a particle physicist by training, having attended both the Universities of Prince Edward Island and Victoria. I have completed a BSc and MSc, and have spent 3 years as a PhD student. However, currently I am living and working in Shikoku Japan, teaching English at a public high school.

During graduate school, I worked on the T2K neutrino oscillation experiment located in Ibaraki Japan. While living in Japan for the first time I decided to take up photography as a hobby to pass the time between working at the lab.

Currently, I mainly interested in macro photography and nature. However, I have been getting interested in some strobist photography as well, which I have been mixing in with the macro photography.

My gear includes:

Canon 6D

Canon 24-105 f4 L IS

Canon 100m f2.8 L IS
