07Feb20: A very interesting article regarding Flickr, its history and current state:

The rise, fall and resurrection of Flickr

mac using, photography enthusiast, physical therapist (retired)

Got to Albuquerque in 1978. I've always been interested in photography, but had a long hiatus until my younger son's soccer.

2019: Survived prostate cancer in 2009, and in January this year I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Thankfully surgery and chemo seems successful, but it's been an interesting year thus far.

2018: Retired! After 40 years as a Physical Therapist, I have now retired. And let me tell ya, it's pretty darn cool.

2018: Still using the Fuji X-T1. This year picked up the Fuji X100F when my beloved X100 fell. I missed it so much I purchased a used X100 as I like the way it does infrared more than how the X100F does it.

2017: The 40D is with our older son now, rarely used. He wants to shoot night skies but hasn't had much opportunity. For the last couple years I've been shooting the Fuji X-T1 along with the X100. And of course, there is the iphone which I enjoy immensely. This year has been crazy with work, and the photography shooting and editing have taken a back seat to that. I should retire, eh?

2014: the 40D is still hanging in there, but I rarely carry it around. It's in the safe and I pull it out to use with the long lens, for hot air balloon shots! This year I picked up the Fuji X-T1. I've only one Fuji lens for it, and it's brilliant. I keep picking up third party lenses, mostly vintage to use with it. I'm carrying it around with me all the time. I just recently resumed carrying the X100 again, but with a 720nm IR filter on it. And the cellphone last year became the iphone. I'm still enamored with the hipstamatic app.

2012: the 40D is still hanging in, despite the occasional shutter release hang up. Last year in August I picked up the Fuji X100. It has become my main carry around camera. I have to laugh as at any given moment I probably have three cameras on me. The X100, a small Panasonic point and shoot, and of course, the cellphone! And I enjoy using them all.

I'm a physical therapist, working in an outpatient setting. I got into physical therapy to avoid having to really work for a living. But as of August 2018, I am now retired!

You've all seen various photos of my family in the photostream. I'm thankful they put up with me.

New Mexico has been a wonderful place to live and work. I can't imagine living somewhere else now that I'm addicted to our big skies, beautiful weather, and astounding vistas.

I came across the above symbol looking at others' profiles. I guess this is me too now, eh?
