Hi there, thank you very much for your visit to my profile. You might also want to check out my Instagram

I'm mike, a professional photographer and internet marketer from Karlsruhe in southwest Germany near the French border and I speak German, English, French and Russian.

I'm a very young 59 and have been photographing for 53 years. As my mother is a photographer and photo lab technician, I had my first camera at the tender age of six years, a Voigtländer Vito-B, which - as you can see here - is well preserved:

60s Retro |Grace Kelly...

I've been shooting for 40+ years with Canon SLRs, analog (with my own lab since I was 8) & digital and in 2015 I switched to a aSONY ⍺6000 because of its 18mm flange distance and focus peaking because I love to shoot with vintage manual lenses - I even founded a group about those:

Bokeh of vintage primes

...as well as a few other specialized groups about vintage glass and a group for users of ZEISS lenses on E-mount cameras:

Now WHO is the most beautiful? | GROUP AVATAR: SONY NEX/alpha E-mount with Carl Zeiss lenses

...and also a group for users of all kinds of Canon lenses on E-mount cameras:

with Canon EF->SONY E-mount adapter thread

I also use various vintage analog Praktica, Zeiss and Contax film cameras.

As I love very fast primes, I use lots of those, e.g.: 2.4/15mm | 1.8/20 | 1.4/24mm | 1.4/35mm | 1.0/50mm & 1.2/50 & 1.4/50 | 1.2/85mm | 2.0/105 STF | 1.8/120mm | 1.8/135mm | 2.8/150mm | 2.8/200mm | 4/300mm

In May 2016 I sold my last Canon body, and got me another SONY and I shoot SONY exclusively now, currently with a SONY ⍺6500 (ILCE-6500), SONY ⍺6000 (ILCE-6000), SONY ⍺7RII (ILCE-7RM2) and a SONY ⍺7III (ILCE-7M3), mostly with adapted Canon L-glass, native FE Sigma Art lenses and Samyang AF FE lenses.

In March of 2018 - as soon as it was available - I got the SONY ⍺7III (ILCE-7M3), he lovechild of the SONY ⍺7RIII and the SONY ⍺9 :-). SONY is once again leading the pack - what an amazing camera!

For work I do mostly model photography for a few fashion designers and my wife's company MKvip Beauty, for fun I love wildlife and macro photography - I used to be a professional animal photographer in the 70s and 80s. My prefered animals to shoot are dragonflies - so I founded another group about those:

GROUP: .: Dragonfly & Damselfly Addicts :.

with odonata picture reference guide

May the light always be with all of you!

Have fun

mike

Your gallery is truly exceptional, with sumptuous photos, and perfect compositions. The best and most interesting I've seen on Flickr!
