"For me photography allows me to look at ordinary things in different ways."

The defining word in my life is Synergy (from the Greek synergos meaning working together, circa 1660) refers to the phenomenon in which two or more discrete influences or agents acting together create an effect greater than that predicted by knowing only the separate effects of the individual agents.

Staten Island may often be called NYC's "forgotten borough", but Robert's photos provide ample evidence why this shouldn't be the case. Wonderful images of SI's hidden treasures are combined with eloquent historical storytelling to make this photostream a compelling one to visit. Robert has the enviable skill of being able to embrace unconventional techniques such as ultra-wide angle perspectives and HDR imaging in a very discriminating way to enhance his images, without ever overdoing these effects. His attention to detail is magnificent, there is so much to appreciate and enjoy in each photo. In summary - an inspiring and highly recommended photostream!
