With my photography I seek to portray the beauty of nature and the nature of beauty. These last couple of years it has become more of an art form for me, particularly using textures with a photo which either enhance or transform the photograph in some way. I am drawn to others' photos which move me. They tend to be dark, imbued with melancholy, a sense of the surreal and desaturated in tone. I also very much like retro style images - their aesthetic and sense of nostalgia.

I have found Flickr to be a huge source of inspiration and love browsing others' photostreams. Just wish I had more time for it! What has struck me most about Flickr in the last year is that, although virtual, it is quite a wonderful, supportive community and I cherish the friends I have made and met along the way.

I'd really like to thank Adrian at adrians_art, Ellen at **seafield, Richard at shashamane Fiona at sadferret and recently, Clive at clive sax very much for doing me such wonderful testimonials! Am very touched!

One of the most creative portfolio I have stumbled into. Creative in many aspects. I am very attracted to those dreamy artistic images... I need to come back very often!

Photography is to a large extent about perception and imagination. Why is it that one person can take an image of a flower and its life and beauty almost seem to disappear, it's vibrancy and reason for being yanked away and what is left in its place a pale facsimile. Whereas another can inject an image with ideas and visions of the flower that the flower itself never imagined! Jo is of course the latter! Her stream is joy to behold. Jo seems to see relationships and dynamics, she communicates stories and narratives and takes us on a journey. I think what impresses me the most is that Jo can move into darkness without being heavy, without angst and without any form of pity and yet in her images she communicates the emotional lexicon of the human condition. So all in all quite heady stuff! Jo also has a wicked sense of humour and sense of play. I look forward to jo's comments in my stream and I feel incredibly honoured to call her a flickr friend. I am so glad I stumbled across her image of eastbourne pier, walking it led me to a very special place indeed.

Her recent works with the creative side of PS skills - which she has largely taught herself - are hugely inspiring, and humbling for me. She has a terrific eye for composition and excellent use of light. Her love for photography, beauty and art are so clear to see. Keep up the great work, Jo! :)) xx

Jo's own beauty shines through every shot. She is one of the most talented artists I know and I love being part of her world. I feel I have a lot to learn from her on how to see with my heart as well as with my eyes. Thank you for sharing, dear one.

It has been a joy and a real honour to have Jo as a contact and a friend and I am shocked to find that Jo has not yet received any testimonials. Her nature and landscapes have depth, mood and tremendous atmosphere and in the time that I have got to know her, Jo has blossomed into a superb photographer and I always enjoy a visit to her photostream for she has a style all of her own, and it can only be a matter of time before Jo will be flooded with more very well deserved testimonials. Well done Jo my friend. Adrian.
