Stumbled through life, always interested in photography. Have had an aversion to money so never tried to take it on seriously. So it's always been a personal thing to me not being bound by any rules or expectations. Never studied the subject before or the masters of the trade and really still have not. I just do what I do. However this did change with Flickr , where I found wonderful work by Flickerists all over the world with different styles and processes which has really motivated me. However it is the processing area that bogs me down, I just love getting out there and getting those shots and the wonderful times in the countryside but then the days in front of the computer can be daunting. I used a Pentax 6 x 7 medium format camera for many years to capture my earlier train photographs. The nature of 120 film, the ten frames and cost taught me to take precise exposures but with little room for experimentation. The digital era is so exciting and I really want to explore artistic avenues but the learning curve is quite huge,. These days the taking of photographs are only a small part of the finished product , the real work happens behind the computer. Flickr has been wonderful in that I've discovered like minded photographers from all around the world at all different levels of skill and some wonderful social contacts.

Hello dear Mr. Steve You are really so amazing. I really love ur photography very much. In ur photo stream u have not only the rolling stock but also very nice captured from ur countryside. All ur photo processing really so unique and remarkable. You have such a great eye for photography. Your perspective is so interesting and different and cool, and your use of light is always so beautiful. All ur pictures are so unique and the way you capture some of them, the angles, lighting, colors, it’s just brilliant. Keep up the goof and amazing work. Friendly Regards Tushar
