Couch for two

To many, the star attraction at the National Etruscan Museum in Rome's Villa Giulia is the Sarcophagus of the Spouses - an almost life-size funerary monument, made in terracotta some 2,500 years ago.

It was found in C19th excavations at the necropolis of Cerveteri (ancient Caere), and is taken to depict a married couple reclining at a banquet together in the afterlife.
