día cuarenta (29 June)
I transcribed three videos in one sitting today. Bad call -- I've been holding my laptop on top of my lap, and the funny angle is killing my left wrist. (I hold my left and right wrists differently while typing -- I think because my right thumb has to be able to press "space" and my left pinky finger has to be able to press "shift" -- and somehow only my left wrist responds poorly to extended typing sessions). I also went on the prowl for fairy doors today (see the comment thread on día treinta y ocho), and spent half an hour talking to a nice middle-aged couple who happened to walk by one I was photographing. They pointed me to the fairy door above (on the right), which is perhaps six and a half inches tall and perfectly matches the real door to the same shop even down to the "closed" sign the fairies pull down once the real store closes. Pretty nifty. At 210 Main St. they're about three feet apart from each other; I Photoshopped them together for easier viewing.
