safe from sword and cannonballs

The Ring of Brodgar, Stenness, Orkney, Scotland. A Neolithic henge and stone circle near Stromness. Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site that also contains Maes How and Scara Brae. Some 5,000 years old, it predates the Pyramids and the similar stone circles at Stonehenge and Avebury.
